This week, we're trying somewhere new for Thirsty Thursday - Politan Row - located at 4550 Olde Perimeter Way, Dunwoody, GA 30346. Join us for fun and fellowship tomorrow, March 14, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Then sleep in a little on Friday morning! And if you can't make it Thursday, check out the next article.
Next Friday there's no meeting because many of us will be at District Conference in Jekyll Island.
Join the Dunwoody Wine Tasting Fellowship at Ed and Judy Holliday's home on Friday, March 15 ... the price of entry is a bottle of wine and an appetizer to share. You'll find Ed and Judy at 315 Cannady Ct, Atlanta, GA 30350. Start time is 6:00 pm.
This week, we'd like to recognize our hole sponsors for the 2024 tournament - each contributing $1,000 to support our causes - the Alzheimer's Association and the Dunwoody Rotary Charitable Fund that makes so much of our work in the community possible.
We are looking for a Gold Sponsor at the $5,000 level, and sponsors for the Putting Contest and Hole-in-One Competition - at $2,500 each. And of course we wouldn't say no to additional Platinum, Gold or Silver Sponsors. You can also sign up as a Supporter at the $250 or $100 ... or in another dollar amount named by YOU! Anyone interested can visit FORE! The Memories – Rotary Club of Dunwoody Charity Golf Tournament (rcdgolftournament.com)
On Tuesday, March 12, the club hosted an orientation
breakfast at J. Christopher's for our newest members, Denise Brodsky, Mike
Kenig, John Vinyard, and Channing Brand. Everyone is excited to be part of the
Rotary Club of Dunwoody and looking forward to getting involved.
It's time to select the Best of Perimeter businesses and several Dunwoody Rotarians (and spouses) are up for selection. The Best of Perimeter is sponsored by Appen Media (owner of the Dunwoody Crier). In addition to club members' businesses, the nominees include other businesses that are friends of RCD. You may vote once each day per email address from now until March 15 - so please vote early and often! You may vote here: https://www.appenmedia.com/best_of_perimeter_2024/#//. Thank you for voting! The nomination and selection as Best of Perimeter means a lot to all of the local businesses involved.
Keep reading for a list of nominated businesses owned/managed by Dunwoody Rotarians (with apologies to anyone we missed!). [read more]
The Atlanta Gladiators are hosting Rotary Club Night on March 23. It is a night to come together and mingle with other clubs and enjoy being out in the community while getting to watch a professional hockey game. The event will take place in the Ice Boxes, which are right on the glass, so everyone will be in on the action during the game. If you NOT going to District Conference and you'd like to attend this Atlanta Gladiators' special event, contact Carter Stout and he will get the link for discounted tickets.
