In April 1984, 35 business leaders in the Atlanta area came together to put Dunwoody, Georgia on the Rotary International map. From the start, it was the mission of our charter members to "successfully execute multi-faceted, highly visible programs and activities designed to contribute substantially to the ideals and aims of Rotary". They wanted to make a difference in the local community and around the world.
Almost 40 years later, this is still the mission of the Rotary Club of Dunwoody, Georgia, USA. We can look at our local community and see the difference we have made. Our service projects address literacy, education, health, first responders, the environment, and other critical issues both in our community and around the world. In addition, the fellowship we share makes the service fun as well as rewarding. We celebrate each other, hard work, and friendship as we continue to imagine more ways to serve those in need.
