Join us this Thursday night at Porter Brew & Que for fun and fellowship. Porter Brew & Que was a big supporter of our whiskey & cigar fundraiser, the atmosphere is cozy and the food is delicious! So plan to join the festivities - they start at 5:30 pm. Bring a friend!
Our FORE! the Memories golf tournament will take place on May 16 at St. Marlo CC - benefiting The Longest Day program of Alzheimer's of Georgia. Contact Bob O'Brien with any questions at robrien@farmersagent.com
To register go to www.RCDGolfTournament.com. Contact Hoshi Daruwalla with any website questions at hd@phirozsil.com
Please help us get all sponsor levels signed up. Please consider signing up as a $250 Contributing sponsor or a $100 Donating sponsor. Contact Rick Wood on sponsors at sdoowrm@gmail.com. Make checks payable to DRCF Golf Tournament.
We are also looking for some destination packages to auction so if
you have a lake house, a mountain house or a coastal house consider donating a
long weekend or week of rental! Contact Jack Sparks for details at JSparks@mosquitojoe.com
We want (and need) each of you to be part of a 20-year Dunwoody tradition ... the Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP) Leadership Weekend. Why have we been hosting this weekend for 20+ years? There are many reasons:
Many of you are hosting students for the whole weekend - THANK YOU! However, the rest of you should know that there are many other opportunities to be part of the weekend. Check out the attached agenda and the list of opportunities (click "more" at the end of the story) - and give Ron or Louise Barden a call if you see an opportunity that's just right for you - or you have questions. Rotary Youth Exchange is BACK!! The Rotary Club of Dunwoody will be hosting a female high school student for the 2022-23 school year (August 2022 - May 2023). We need your help! There are two ways you can help:
Please consider becoming involved in this important program. Questions? Contact Deb Cameron, dsc630@gmail.com or 404.668.1259.
We want you to know that, in response to questions and concerns raised
by members world-wide, the Rotary International Board of Directors has
confirmed that the 2022 Rotary International Convention will still be an in-person event in Houston, Texas, USA, 4-8 June.
In addition, the Board has determined that
all participants, including Rotary International preconvention participants,
must either be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (as defined by the U.S. Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention) OR
provide a negative result from a COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours
before their arrival at the convention.
To encourage attendance, considering this
news, there is a special registration rate of US$495 through 28 February, which
is retroactive to 16 December. Any registrations made at the US$575 rate since
16 December will automatically be refunded the difference in price — no action
is required from the registrant.
Here's a way to keep up with all that's happening with the Rotary Club of Dunwoody. If you would like to add an event - or add a story to the bulletin, send an email to Jackie Cuthbert at cuthbert@mindspring.com by Tuesday evening.
