A Time to Be Thankful!

This week offers a special opportunity to be thankful ... for our family and friends, for our chance to Connect, Grow and Serve as members of the Rotary Club of Dunwoody. We don't have a meeting this week. Here's wishing you safe travels and joyous Thanksgiving celebrations! We hope to see many of you at next Friday's Holiday Luncheon!

Fellowship and Fun - RSVP by This Friday
Join Us Next Friday for the 40th Annual Holiday Luncheon - December 1

Please plan to join Dunwoody's Family of Rotary and special guests for the Rotary Club of Dunwoody's Holiday Luncheon on Friday, December 1 at the Dunwoody Country Club. Arrive between 11 and 11:30 AM with the welcome to start at 11:30! As always, we welcome your spouse or special guest.

This year, we are reviving a tradition started 20 years ago (interrupted by COVID) with the Dresden Elementary School chorus joining us to provide some beautiful entertainment.  And of course, we will be collecting toys for Toys for Tots!  Please consider bringing a new, unwrapped toy to help spread some holiday joy this year to children and families in our community.

Please RSVP to Matthew Johnson at mjohnsonrotary@gmail.com by FRIDAY, November 24, 2023!

Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Service Opportunity This Saturday
Help Get the Books Ready!

A book for every student ... at Dresden and Kingsley Elementary ... another Dunwoody tradition we have sustained for more than 20 years. Join history this Saturday afternoon at Carter Stout's office (4675 N. Shallowford Road, Atlanta, GA 30338).  November 25 from 1-3 pm - as we prepare 900 books for distribution this holiday season. We need about 15 volunteers and two more folding tables - please let Anita Augello know if you can help - RSVP to nycgal338@gmail.com.

Congratulations!
Tina Philpot Recognized by Perimeter Chamber

Congratulations to Tina Philpot for being recognized by the Perimeter Chamber at their annual meeting today! We always knew she was a #RockStar, and now the whole chamber knows it too. Well done, Tina! Keep rocking it!

Service Opportunity
Help Make Someone's Holidays Brighter with Toys for Tots!

With only one week until the holiday luncheon, it's time to start shopping. For many years, under the leadership of Jim and Janet Glass, Dunwoody Rotarians have been very generous in the Marines Toys for Tots Drive - just look at the spread of toys above and you'll have a vision of what we can do.

Look for toys, bikes and games and bring them to the Holiday luncheon on December 1!  If you have a van and can help with transporting the toys after the luncheon, please let Jim Glass know.

With your generosity, we can make this holiday season special for needy local youth!

Whiskey Raffle Update
And Then There Was One!

Last week, President Jack Sparks held the lucky winning ticket for our Second Whiskey Raffle of the season. The next one could go to you or the friend you convinced to buy a ticket! Whiskey Raffle #3 features a bottle of Blanton’s Original Single Barrel. Taken from the center-cut or middle sections of the famous Warehouse H, this single barrel bourbon was once designated for ambassadors, dignitaries, and Colonel Blanton’s family and friends. Today, everyone has access to the world’s first single barrel bourbon. We'll show you the beautiful bottle next week - for this week, use the QR code or click here to buy your Raffle #3 tickets for $30 each. So far, 56 ticket holders are in the hunt for this bottle; join them now!

Fellowship Opportunity ... RSVP by Dec. 8
