Your Top Three To Do's
As the Magical New Year of Rotary Approaches

Fourth of July - and its fine Dunwoody Family of Rotary tradition - is on the top of our minds. Think about:

  1. Joining the float building party this Sunday, June 30
  2. Baking cookies, brownies, etc. - and packaging them in snack bags of two - for sale at our July 4 hot dog stand
  3. How you 'd like to participate on the 4th ... as a parade walker (contact Denise) or at the hot dog stand (contact Paula), and whether you might have a small propane tank Ed Holliday could borrow to fire up the hot dog grill.

All the details follow ... read on!

This Week's Speaker
President Louise Barden

Join us this Friday at the AC Hotel when Louise shares the club's plan for the 2024-25 Rotary Year. This will be our last meeting at the AC Hotel - read more about that change in the article below.

Pictured here: Louise and husband Ron at the Fourth of July parade. You can read more about this year's parade below too!

Fourth of July
Celebrate Independence Day with Our Rotary Family

Join us for a day of patriotism, community, and fun at Georgia's largest Independence Day parade. Incoming District Governor Gordon Owens and his wife Ashley (daughter of George and Amy Stewart) will be joining us on the Fourth - be sure to give them a warm Dunwoody welcome!

Event Highlights:

  • Date: Thursday, July 4, 2024
  • Theme: "Red, White & YOU"

We need volunteers to make this event a success:

  • Float Decorators
  • Parade Walkers
  • Hot Dog Stand Volunteers ... and at gas tank for our hot dog grill (let Ed Holiday know if you have a gas tank we can use)
  • Cookie Bakers - packaged in snack bags for sale at our hot dog stand
  • Float Breakdown Helpers

For Parade Walkers, contact Denise Brodsky at denise@clubhouseatlanta.org. For other roles, contact Paula Shiver at paula@perimeterchamber.com.

Bring your loved ones for an unforgettable day of celebration and community!

Experience the Craft of Float Building - June 30

We have experts - and you're invited join in the fun! The photo here shows careful crafting of our 25th anniversary float.

Join us at Alison Norris's home to experience a long-practiced Dunwoody art form ... the ability to build a float that tells our story while enjoying food, fellowship and even a beverage! It's really a float-building party ... and many hands will make quick work of it. Bring your favorite beverage (BYOB) and a side dish to share. Plan to come together to decorate and enjoy a cookout afterward.

Here are the details for our float-building extravaganza:

  • Date: Sunday, June 30
  • Time: 5:30 PM
  • Location: Alison Norris's Home, Maxstoke Manor, 5431 Trowbridge Drive, Dunwoody, Georgia 30338
  • Bring your favorite beverage (BYOB) and a side dish to share. Let's come together to decorate and enjoy a cookout afterward!

Dunwoody Rotary is on the Move ... New Meeting Place Starting July 12

This Friday, June 28, will be our last meeting at the AC Hotel. After this week, we will be moving down the road - just a little ways  to the Embassy Suites in Dunwoody. Watch for more details as we get closer to the move date. And say thanks to Rick Otness and his committee for checking out the possibilities and negotiating,

Dunwoody Well Represented at Chamber Lunch
