
Join us at Maggiano's this Friday to welcome Andrew Ziffer, the District 1 representative on the DeKalb County Board of Education, representing communities in Brookhaven, Chamblee, Doraville, and Dunwoody. He was elected in 2024 and began his term in January 2025.
Professionally, Andrew is a commercial real estate executive and entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in technology, finance, and real estate. He is the Managing Partner at Greenleaf Capital, where he oversees the acquisition, management, and strategic development of commercial real estate assets. Earlier in his career, he worked in the technology sector, including roles in software development and financial technology.
Andrew has been actively involved in DeKalb County schools for more than a decade as a parent and volunteer. His service has included roles on Principal Advisory Councils, the Peachtree Middle School Foundation board, and the technology committee at Dunwoody Elementary.
Beyond education, Andrew founded the PHACE Syndrome Community, a nonprofit that supports families affected by a rare medical condition and has grown into a national resource for hundreds of families.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Florida and is known for bringing an analytical, problem-solving mindset to both business and public service. Andrew and his wife have been married for more than 20 years and are the proud parents of a son who graduated from DeKalb County Schools.
