Due to technical difficulties with the District 6900 web platform, we are unable to post or see pictures for the next few days in our bulletin or on the website. But there's still a lot going on with Dunwoody Rotary so please read on to learn about:
And check out the calendar for more details on what's happening in the weeks to come.
The next Dunwoody Diners will happen at 7 PM on Saturday, April 2 - tomorrow, March 31, is the last day to sign up for an evening of fun and food at Aomi Restaurant (hibachi) in The Forum on Peachtree Parkway. This will be a special event since all diners will be asked to make a contribution (large or small) to the Rotary Ukraine Disaster Relief Fund.
For newer members, this is a
great way to meet other members (and their significant others) in a relaxed
setting. Conversation is casual, the is food good, and the cost is typically
between $40-$50 per person (before tax and tip). These dinners allow you the
opportunity to really get to know a few Rotarians much better than possible at
our Friday meetings.
Restaurant: Aomi Restaurant (hibachi) in The Forum on Peachtree Parkway
Address: 5145 Peachtree Pkwy #470A, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092
Phone: (770) 840-8710
Please RSVP to either Ken
or Sherry Levy by tomorrow, March 31, 2022, if you plan to attend.

On May 16, the Rotary Club of Dunwoody will host the FORE!
the Memories golf tournament at St. Marlo CC benefiting
The Longest Day program of Alzheimer's of Georgia. We want every Dunwoody Rotarian to have a part in this event. For now, we're focused on the sponsorships; watch for volunteer opportunities soon - we will provide a list of volunteer opportunities and ask you to sign up in advance to help.
There are still opportunities to be a SPONSOR or find a Platinum or Gold sponsor or be one of 18 hole sponsors (we have ten and are looking for eight more). You also can participate as a contributing sponsor or a donating sponsor - at $250 or $100 respectively. Contact Rick Wood on sponsors at sdoowrm@gmail.com for more details.
You can learn more, contribute and register to golf at www.rcdgolftournment.com. Contact Hoshi Daruwalla with any website questions at hd@phirozsil.com
Sign up on the website and pay via credit card or make checks payable to DRCF Golf Tournament.
At last Friday's DeKalb Rotary Council breakfast, two Dunwoody Rotarians received special recognition:
Congrats and THANK YOU to Bob and Lorri for all they do.
This Mother's Day Weekend ... May 6-8 ... come and help as we support the Dunwoody Arts Festival by assisting with artist check-in and host a booth of our own that helps us tell our story to the community and prospective new members. Our support for this
significant community event will be instrumental in the event’s success.
We have three “asks” of you at this time:
Note: It takes hundreds of volunteers to stage this
event, I have listed the artist set-up jobs as our top priority. We can
handle as many Rotarians and Friends of Rotary as we can identify.
St. Patrick’s Episcopal (where
Rotarian Dick Game is the priest) is delighted to present a benefit concert on
Sunday, May 1 at 7PM. Dr. Cagdas Soylar will present piano works by some of the
great composers, with a string quartet and a choral ensemble from Dunwoody High
School.
Tickets are $10 in advance or
$15 at the door. Buy your tickets on-line at tinyurl.com/stpatrickconcert (Children
under 10 years of age are free.) Desserts and drinks will be offered. Proceeds
will benefit the church with a portion going to Ukraine relief efforts.
Here's a way to keep up with all that's happening with the Rotary Club of Dunwoody. If you would like to add an event - or add a story to the bulletin, send an email to Jackie Cuthbert at cuthbert@mindspring.com by Tuesday evening.
