Golf Tournament Update
FORE the Memories Golf Tournament - May 13, 2024 - You Can Help!

As our May 13 FORE the Memories! golf tournament approaches, we still need your help:

  • We are looking for the Hole-in-One $2,500 sponsor for our golf tournament. This sponsorship is the last Event Sponsor we need! It comes with four signs on four different holes on the course including the $10,000 Hole-in-One hole.  Let's get this one!
  • We would like to have a $5,000 Gold Sponsor which gives us 100% of the tournament sponsorships filled!
  • We can always use more Contributing and Donating Sponsors which are great ways to support this fundraising activity! Anyone interested can visit FORE! The Memories – Rotary Club of Dunwoody Charity Golf Tournament (rcdgolftournament.com)
  • We now have 20 Hole Sponsors and a very full auction so we are looking good for a successful event. Thanks to Jim and Janet Glass and to Hotel Equities for joining the list of Hole Sponsors. We also welcome Maintenance Concepts Inc. as our Putting Contest Sponsor.
  • Golfer spots are almost sold out but we still have room for some foursomes not associated with a sponsor. Note: if you are a sponsor and are entitled to golfers, please let Bob O’Brien know via an email to rsobrien@bellsouth.net on if you will field a foursome. Thanks.
  • Watch for Alison Norris's call for volunteers!

Lastly, we are looking to move next year's tournament out one week to give us all a break between the Dunwoody Art Festival and our tournament's volunteer efforts. More to come on this.

    Fundraising
Cheers to the 2024 Whiskey Raffle Committee!

The committee for this year's Whiskey Raffle held its first meeting on Tuesday, March 26. Matthew Johnson hosted the gathering at his home. The committee kicked off planning early this year because we expect a lot of changes to the format, including a much larger prize fund and only having one night for all the drawings. Dave Burr is this year's chairperson for the fundraiser and will share more details as well as solicit your help during our general meetings.
