This project provides backpacks with school supplies for children in the Tapestri program who are the victims of human trafficking and domestic abuse or are unaccompanied minors. The Rotarian Project Chair works closely with the Tapestri team to determine the needs of individual children/Family. Each backpack is labeled for a specific student and packed with the specific school supplies needed by that student. Project works to order, pay, receive and assemble the supplies. Rotarians, Rotaractors and Interactors meet to pack, and label the individual Backpacks. The backpacks are delivered to Tapestri who then delivers the backpacks to the varying families and children. (children are housed in secure locations within the program)

| Tapestri.Org We work with Tapestri to identify the childrens needs. Many of these children are in secure locations attending different schools/ districts. We work with the Tapestri Team who reaches out to the approriate schools to determine the individual childs needs to begin the school year. RCD purhases the supplies, collates and packs the individual BackPacks. Tapestri then delivers them to the children. |
