The Dunwoody Homeowners Association puts on a 4th of July parade each year in Dunwoody. Residents line the main boulevard of Dunwoody as floats and assemblies parade by. The estimate is 40,000 people participate in the event. After the parade a host of activities are available for people to enjoy, one of which is the Rotary Club of Dunwoody's Hot Dog Stand. We prepare and sell hotdogs, soft drinks, water, chips and an assortment of pastries. Left overs are donated to the local police and fire stations.
This event has become a mainstay for the club. Members work together to prepare the stand and the food. Then we spend 5 hours serving the public, promoting Rotary and seeking new members. It is a wonderful event.
