An impact message from Anna Proctor who was the lead faculty member for Dunwoody Elementary School's implementation of Be THE Voice:
I currently am watching the President and Co-President lead a Be THE Voice club meeting right now. They want to expand the program to create more student interest clubs to facilitate all the things students are interested in at DES and create a community, which is pretty neat! I've encouraged them to be leaders and write up some things to discuss directly with Principal Fain.
Overall, the students in the club have built a community, spoken up, and thrived in their leadership roles. The students at DES have loved the Be THE Voice program. They particularly enjoyed High Five Fridays, Kindness Bingo, and the SOUPer Bowl Challenge. It was a great way to show how we can first make a difference in our school community and spread kindness and then make an impact in the greater community. We are considering adding a Heritage Day in May with a morning parade so we are currently planning that as well!
