Special Call to Action!
Vote Now to Name Dunwoody Police Department's New Canines (Voting Ends 10/23)

Voting is now open to name the two new K9 members of the Dunwoody police force. Made possible in part by the generous support of the Dunwoody Police Foundation and the Rotary Club of Dunwoody, two police dogs will soon be a part of the team.

The Dunwoody Police Department is asking for the community’s help to name the dogs; one a Belgian Malinois, the other a Dutch Shepherd. Once trained and certified, the dogs will be used to detect illegal narcotics, conduct article searches, and assist in the search of missing persons or suspects.

The training program and handler selection process is expected to be completed in early 2021.

The naming list has been narrowed down to 10 finalists for consideration by the community. Please click here to see the names and cast a vote. Voting will end Oct. 23.
