Join us this Friday at the Embassy Suites as our president elect, Matthew Johnson, shares his vision of the 2025-26 Rotary Year for the Rotary Club of Dunwoody.
For those of you who missed Dave Burr's "Getting to Know You" profile of Matthew last August, here's a little information about our incoming President.
Matthew started his career as a music teacher, and 15 years decided to start law school. He continued teaching full time and
spent the next four years attending Georgia State University College of Law part
time. He has practiced law since 2015, focusing on domestic relations and
family law.
Matthew, his wife, Jill, and their daughters, Loren and Abigail, live in Dunwoody. The photo shows the family on vacation in Maine last summer.
NOTE: This is our last meeting at the Embassy Suites. Next week - June 19 - is our end of the year celebration at the Dunwoody Country Club. And on June 27, we will meet at our new Friday morning home, Maggiano's at Perimeter Mall.
We hope you are planning to join us Thursday, June 19 for our end of the Rotary year celebration at the Dunwoody Country Club. The Rotary Club of Dunwoody will celebrate our recent Club of the Year award and all we have accomplished during Louise Barden’s year as President.
You and a guest are invited for this gala dinner event. We need your RSVPs now! Please RSVP to Dave Burr by email at dave@mailcenteretc.com, along with any suggestions for outside guests you think we should invite.
Ready to be part of a long-running Rotary Club of Dunwoody tradition? Then mark your calendar now for Dunwoody's Fourth of July celebration. There are opportunities to:
Watch for more about our activities but mark the day now - if it's only to stop by the hot dog stand to wish everyone a Happy July 4!
We're still collecting plastic bottle caps for a mid-summer art project at Anchor Place. We know we will need LOTS - save all sizes and colors of plastic bottle caps (ask your friends to help) and bring them with you to Rotary! We especially need BLUE caps to make an Anchor - milk offers a good source of blue!
You can bring any bottle caps you have already collected to the meeting this Friday - or bring them on a future Friday. Any of our Anchor Place volunteers - Jackie Cuthbert, Fred Bounds, Tina Philpott, Louise or Ron Barden - would be happy to take them off your hands!
