Bounds Garden Expeditionary Force Strikes Again!

A lean and mean (in their minds) expeditionary force took control of the Gardens (33° 56’ 37” N 84° 19’ 55” W) at 0900 Saturday. An advanced squad composed of Fred Bounds and former Dunwoody Rotarian Warren Turner were on site at 0800 and after assessing the situation, retired to Panera‘s for sweet rolls and coffee. The third team member, Rick Otness, joined Bounds and Turner at 0900. Working with lightning speed, they quickly pacified the garden of leggy branches, impudent weeds and perimeter detritus.

The operation was over almost before it had begun. The garden was transferred back to civilian control at approximately 0925.

For new Dunwoody Rotarians, Bounds Gardens, previously named Monroe Park, is the traffic island across Chamblee Dunwoody Road from the Dunwoody library. Although it may seem so, no special operations expertise is necessary to participate in these periodic missions.
