Interact Conference Shines Light on Mental Health and Wellness
The 2024 District 6900 Interact Conference was a day all about youth service, growth, community, and fostering mental health and wellness. Led by Atlanta West End Immediate Past President and District 6900 Interact Chair Corteney "C.J." Stewart, the 2024 District 6900 Interact Conference shined a light on mental health and wellness!
This year's conference was held on Saturday, January 21, at the historic Booker T. Washington High School. The program was guided by CHRIS 180 mental health professionals and Roswell Rotarian Becky Nelson’s wisdom. Booker T. Washington High School Principal, Dr. William Wade, led the way by inviting us to join him in celebrating the school's 100th year anniversary.
Coming together in service were 2023-24 District Governor André Marria and District Governor-Elect Gordon Owens, Atlanta West End Rotary Club members, including our GRSP student scholar Peace Cyebukayire. The conference included educators, including Regan Pierce (RHS Interact Liaison). who volunteer their time as Interactor facilitators from various high schools in our District. It was a day about youth service, growth, community, and fostering mental health and wellness.
