Highlights from Our Spotlight on Youth

Saturday morning, District conference attendees enjoyed brunch sprinkled with presentations from our Rotary youth programs. We heard Chase Vandergriff from South Forsyth High School present her Laws of Life essay, "You Don't Have To, You Get To." Chase was the winner of the George A. Stewart Jr. Character in Action Award, honoring Dunwoody Rotarian George Stewart for his significant support of the Laws of Life program.

Two GRSP Scholars, Julia Toytari of Finland, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Roswell, and Muhammad Abbas of Pakistan, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Peachtree City, took to the stage at Saturday’s brunch for Youth Programs, sharing some of the ways GRSP and Rotary have impacted their lives this year. Past RI President and current Rotary Foundation Trustee Barry Rassin made his way to their GRSP table to meet each student and share a special moment.

Interact, Be the Voice, RYLA  and Rotary Youth Exchange were also featured in the program.
